Hayden Memorial Future Woman Pilot Scholarship
The Linda Hayden Memorial Future Woman Pilot Scholarship is an
award created in honor of local female pilot and San Gabriel Valley 99s member,
Linda Hayden. Linda was an aviation
enthusiast, she had to overcome many obstacles, both personal and health
related, to become a pilot. In life,
she was active in encouraging others to pursue their passion for flying, and now
the San Gabriel Valley 99’s wish to carry on her legacy by awarding this
scholarship to another woman who wishes to fly.
The Linda Hayden Memorial Future
Woman Pilot Scholarship is a perpetual scholarship awarded to a resident of the
San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas who meets the following criteria:
- Female
- Not a licensed pilot
- A United States Citizen
- Between
the ages of 17 and 30 as of March 1, 2009
The Linda Hayden Memorial Future
Woman Pilot Scholarship is a $750 award in the form of a check presented to the
scholarship recipient, payable to a certified flight training school of their
choice. Scholarship funds not used
within 12 months of award will be forfeit.

Jean
Bustos Scholarship
The Jean
Bustos Scholarship Fund has been established as a perpetual scholarship, awarded
to a mature woman pilot seeking further advancement in her interest in aviation.
Areas of advancement include, but are not limited to vocational costs, flight
training, testing and/or costs of basic training or retraining.
The Jean
Bustos Scholarship Fund will be awarded on the premise as is outlined in the San
Gabriel Valley Pilot of the Year Application.
